Ayan Horizon Advisory ("A.H.A," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how artificial intelligence ("AI") and automated systems process it, and the choices you have. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described below.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Send you our newsletter and editorial content when you have subscribed.
  • Process payments and fulfill paid services.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. AI and Automated Processing

We use artificial intelligence and automated systems to power several of our services, including resume reviews, career readiness assessments, and blog content generation. The following clauses explain how AI processes your data and the rights you have regarding that processing.

AI-assisted resume review. When you upload a resume, it is analyzed by an AI language model to evaluate structure, impact, keyword alignment, and readability. The AI generates a scorecard and recommendations. This is an automated process. The analysis is generated by a machine and may contain errors, omissions, or suggestions that do not apply to your specific situation. You should review all AI-generated recommendations critically before acting on them.

AI career readiness reports. Your assessment responses are processed by an AI model to generate a personalized readiness score and recommendations. This is an automated evaluation based on the information you provide and general career frameworks. It is not a guarantee of employment outcomes and should not replace professional career counseling tailored to your individual circumstances.

AI-generated blog content. Our blog posts and newsletters may be generated or assisted by AI. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any AI-generated content. Always verify critical information independently.

4. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

Some of our services involve automated processing that produces evaluations or recommendations about you (for example, your resume scorecard or career readiness score). Where applicable law grants you the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal effects or similarly significantly affects you, you have the right to:

  • Request human review of any AI-generated evaluation or recommendation.
  • Express your point of view regarding the automated processing.
  • Contest the automated decision and request that it be reviewed by a person.
  • Object to the automated processing of your data entirely.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@ayanhorizon.com. We will arrange for a human review of the automated decision and respond within 30 days.

5. Third-Party AI Providers

We use third-party AI and cloud providers to power our automated features. When you use our AI-assisted tools, your submitted data (such as resume text or assessment responses) is transmitted to these providers for processing. Our providers include:

  • Large language model providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google) used to generate resume reviews, career reports, and blog content.
  • Cloud infrastructure providers used to host our application and process data.

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how it processes data. We encourage you to review their policies. We select providers that offer appropriate data protection commitments, but we are not responsible for how third-party AI providers handle your data once it is transmitted to them.

6. No AI Training on Your Data

We do not knowingly allow your personal data, resume files, assessment responses, or submitted content to be used to train, fine-tune, or improve the underlying AI models of our third-party providers. Where our providers offer data processing agreements or opt-outs from training, we enable them. However, we cannot guarantee that every provider honors these commitments, and you acknowledge that submitted data may be processed by provider systems outside our direct control.

7. Biometric and Sensitive Data

We do not collect or process biometric data (such as facial recognition, fingerprint, or voiceprint data). We do not knowingly collect or process special categories of personal data such as race, ethnicity, religious beliefs, political opinions, health data, sexual orientation, or genetic data.

If you voluntarily include sensitive information in your resume, assessment responses, or contact messages, it will be processed by our AI systems as part of the service you requested. We recommend omitting sensitive data that is not relevant to your career goals.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors interact with our website. We use Google Analytics to collect aggregate usage data and a Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our content. These tools may set their own cookies on your device. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some website functionality.

9. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate our services. Your data may be processed by:

  • Base44 Payments (powered by Wix): payment processing for paid services.
  • Google: analytics, email (Gmail), calendar, and document storage (Google Sheets) used to manage subscriber records and consultations.
  • Meta (Facebook): advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel.
  • AI language model providers: used to generate resume reviews, career reports, and blog content as described in Section 5.

These providers are independent entities with their own privacy policies governing the data they process. We encourage you to review their policies.

10. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Subscriber emails are retained until you unsubscribe. Resume files are retained for the duration needed to complete your review and may be deleted upon request. Career assessment data is retained until you request deletion. AI-generated reports and scorecards are retained as part of your service record and may be deleted upon request.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
  • Opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your data, including AI-assisted processing.
  • Request human review of any automated decision or AI-generated evaluation.
  • Receive your personal data in a portable, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@ayanhorizon.com. We will respond within 30 days.

12. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge that AI processing involves transmitting your data to third-party AI providers, which introduces additional security considerations beyond our direct control.

13. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for individuals seeking entry-level career guidance and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

14. International Users and Cross-Border Data Transfers

Our website and services are operated from the United States. AI processing of your data may occur in the United States or other countries where our AI providers operate. If you access our services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws. By using our services, you consent to such transfers, subject to applicable data protection laws.

15. Disclaimer of Professional Advice

Our services, including AI-generated resume reviews, career readiness reports, blog content, and consultations, are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute legal, financial, psychological, medical, or professional career counseling advice. AI-generated content may contain errors and should not be relied upon as your sole source of guidance. You should consult qualified professionals for advice specific to your situation before making career, legal, or financial decisions.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ayan Horizon Advisory and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of our services or reliance on AI-generated content. You use our services and AI-generated recommendations at your own risk.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or AI regulation developments. We conduct a monthly review of AI privacy regulations and update this policy accordingly. The "last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of our website or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
